The power of Microsoft Azure allows just that, our experts are on hand to move your current in-house applications to the cloud as well as design bespoke systems on your behalf to allow you to keep you away from aging hardware and massive upfront costs.

What is Microsoft Azure?

Microsoft Azure is a comprehensive set of cloud services that IT professionals use to build, deploy, and manage applications through Microsoft’s global network of data centers. This allows businesses to efficiently build anything from simple mobile apps to Internet-scale solutions. The platform allows users to build and deploy applications regardless of location and helps minimise the upfront cost of large, locally based, infrastructure projects.

Microsoft’s website states that Azure:

“Is an open and flexible cloud platform that enables you to quickly build, deploy and manage applications across a global network of Microsoft-managed datacentres. You can build applications using any language, tool, or framework. And you can integrate your public cloud applications with your existing IT environment.”

What can Microsoft Azure do for my clients?

Microsoft Azure cloud server offerings fall into three main categories; Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Software as a Service (SaaS).

This is what you get with the different levels of cloud offerings (Click the + to read more).

Microsoft Azure IaaS:

This is the most basic Microsoft Azure offering, which gives you a server in the cloud. Opting for that service, you are in full control over the virtual machine, and are responsible for managing everything from the operating system up to the application you are running.

Microsoft Azure PaaS:

This service level also provides an operating system, a database, a web server, an environment for executing your code, and additional services such as identity management. By choosing PaaS for your project needs, Microsoft Azure Cloud Service puts up with all the tedious operating system details for you, so you can focus all your energy on what really matters to you – developing business applications your customers will love.

Microsoft Azure SaaS:

Level, where applications are built and hosted through third-party vendors that usually charge for a certain amount of service – Microsoft Office 365, is one such example. Today, most SaaS applications are built on a cloud platform due to the low cost of entry and the ability to scale up as your customer base grows.

There are several benefits:

“Azure delivers a 99.95% monthly SLA and enables you to build and run highly available applications without focusing on the infrastructure.”

Furthermore, Azure is incredibly flexible and allows you to use multiple languages, frameworks, and tools to create the customised applications that you need. As a platform, it also allows you to scale applications up with unlimited servers and storage.

Scalability

The platform grows as your business does, only pay for the computer you require.

Speed of deployment

When handled by IT professionals, Azure products can be deployed in a time-efficient manner.

Disaster Recovery

Microsoft Azure product stack has regional and global failover options, helping maximise uptime to users.

Secure

The platform is ISO 27018 compliant. You can be confident any data held on the platform is secure.
